Acapulco, Gro., 19 de diciembre de 2025.— La gobernadora Evelyn Salgado Pineda acompañó al director general del Fondo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo (Fonatur), Sebastián Ramírez Mendoza, a la inauguración de la Rehabilitación Urbana de la Costera Miguel Alemán, una de las acciones emblemáticas del programa federal Acapulco se Transforma Contigo, orientado a la movilidad segura, la renovación urbana y la infraestructura verde.
Durante el acto, la mandataria estatal subrayó que la recuperación de Acapulco va más allá del impulso turístico y representa un acto de justicia social para las y los acapulqueños, especialmente tras los severos impactos ocasionados por los huracanes Otis y John. En enlace con la conferencia matutina, Evelyn Salgado agradeció el respaldo permanente de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo para la reconstrucción del puerto y del estado de Guerrero.
“Acapulco es tierra de mujeres y hombres fuertes, trabajadores y solidarios. Hoy el Hogar del Sol brilla con más fuerza que nunca”, expresó la gobernadora, al reiterar que se continuará invirtiendo en infraestructura estratégica para lograr la recuperación total del puerto, en coordinación con el Gobierno de México y el ayuntamiento de Acapulco.
Por su parte, el titular de Fonatur informó que, tras cinco meses de trabajo, se intervinieron cinco kilómetros de la Costera Miguel Alemán, con la participación de más de 680 trabajadores acapulqueños. Detalló que se rehabilitaron 13 mil metros cuadrados de banquetas con concreto hidráulico y se construyeron dos mil 500 metros cuadrados de jardines de lluvia, donde se sembraron más de 60 mil plantas y árboles nativos, incluyendo la reintegración del copal como especie endémica del puerto.
Asimismo, se instalaron 800 luminarias solares y ecológicas que mejoran la seguridad vial y la experiencia nocturna tanto para peatones como para automovilistas. Ramírez Mendoza destacó que cerca del 80 por ciento de la inversión federal se destinó a obras hidráulicas, atendiendo uno de los principales retos históricos de Acapulco.
En su intervención, el director de Infraestructura de Fonatur, Alan Aizpuru Akel, señaló que la rehabilitación priorizó la accesibilidad universal y la seguridad peatonal, y subrayó que esta intervención representa el programa de rehabilitación más importante en la Costera Miguel Alemán en los últimos 40 años. “Rescatar la Costera es rescatar Acapulco”, afirmó.
Las autoridades reconocieron el compromiso y la entrega de las y los trabajadores acapulqueños que participaron en esta obra, destacando que las acciones de transformación continuarán en los próximos años para consolidar el renacimiento del puerto y el bienestar de Guerrero.
Al evento asistieron la presidenta municipal de Acapulco, Abelina López Rodríguez; el oficial mayor de la Secretaría de Finanzas y Administración, Ricardo Salinas Méndez; el secretario de Turismo estatal, Simón Quiñones Orozco, así como representantes de los distintos órdenes de gobierno.
